How do caregivers best support their kiddos in Class?

• Model for the Children Your active participation, in class and at home, is the key to children learning and growing musically.
• Avoid Verbal Directives Children respond best by just seeing and hearing you doing (and enjoying) it yourself!
• Give Your Child Some Freedom Some children need to move around the room to support their current developmental stage. If you want your child to come back to you, redirect your child physically back to the circle and try to avoid calling to them. Please watch out for your child’s safety, but mostly- just relax, and have fun! 

How do I schedule a makeup class?

• Notify your teacher if you'll be absent
• Text or email Lauren 773-682-9246  24 hr advance notice required

What about outside of class?

• Create your Music Together^® Account by entering your unique code from inside your songbook to access the music. Each session, add the code inside the front cover of your songbook to unlock the new collection. 
• Play your music at home and in the car as frequently as possible. Make it available to your child to listen to while they play, or before nap/bedtime.
• Read the Parent Education booklet New Music Together parents receive a Parent Education Guide. During class, your teacher will refer to topics and point out examples of music development.
• Use the songbook at storytime and sing through the songs as you go along. Looking at the printed notes* on the page will help children understand that music is something that can be read, like words!
